Is Aasure a good Fresha alternative for a salon?
For independent salons that already have their own client base, yes. As salon booking software, Aasure gives you your own booking page and your own client list. You pay a flat monthly fee, with no commission or new-client fee. What you give up is marketplace discovery, which matters most to newly opened salons.
Can I take deposits on treatments?
Not yet. Card payments and deposits are on the way, but they are not live today. For now, you can record a payment by hand, as cash or other, against the booking. Switch on email reminders and they go out before every online booking. You can also offer a freed slot to your waitlist.
Does Aasure work for mobile hairdressers and beauticians?
Yes, for bookings, reminders and client records. Aasure has no travel features today: no address field, travel time or service area. Instead, you can add a booking question that asks for the client's address and make it Required. Clients then give it when they book. Use Block time in the diary to keep travel time free between appointments.
Will my clients have to download an app?
No. Online booking for salons should not need an app. Clients book through a web link you can put in your Instagram bio, on Google or in a text message. There is nothing to install and no account to create before they can book.
Can I move my existing client list across?
Yes, and you can export it again whenever you want. Your records might sit in a paper appointment book, a hairdresser diary app or another salon software platform. Either way, the client list is your asset. If you leave Aasure, you take your data with you.
Which salon software has marketing, consultation forms and payments built in?
Most salon platforms bundle some of each, so check what is live rather than planned. In Aasure, email campaigns are live today, and so are follow-ups you switch on. Consultation forms are weeks away. Card payments and deposits are on the way but not live yet, so you record payments by hand for now.

Most owners are set up in under an hour. You connect your Apple or Outlook calendar, add your services and prices, and your online booking page is live. There is no technical setup, no onboarding call to sit through and no setup fee to pay.
