The Acuity alternative that keeps going.

For service businesses who found that a very good scheduler still leaves email campaigns and follow-ups to be done somewhere else.

The honest version

When Acuity is the right call

Acuity earns its reputation, and there are businesses it suits better than we do:

  • Your scheduling rules are genuinely intricate — packages, resources, multi-location availability.
  • You are already on Squarespace and want scheduling that drops into the site you have.
  • Payments and client records live elsewhere and you've no wish to move them.
  • Configurability matters to you more than consolidation.

When Aasure is the right call

Aasure is the better fit when the calendar is only part of the problem:

  • You'd rather have one tool for booking and follow-up than a scheduler plus separate tools for the rest.
  • You want email campaigns and win-back emails inside the booking tool, not bolted on.
  • You want the reminder and the follow-up in the same tool as the booking.
  • You're one practitioner or a small team, not a multi-location operation.

The honest version

If you've been searching for Squarespace Scheduling and finding Acuity, that isn't a mistake. Squarespace bought Acuity in 2019, sold it for a while under the Squarespace name, and has since folded the branding back into Acuity. Same product, one name.

Acuity's depth is real, and for some businesses that depth is the entire point. But depth in scheduling does nothing for the campaign you meant to send, or the client who has quietly stopped booking. Those are different problems from scheduling, and they are the ones Aasure is built around. More on where scheduling tools stop.

Acuity and Aasure, side by side. Read it row by row; the one that matters most to you decides it.

Acuity is a genuinely good scheduler, so the search for an Acuity alternative is rarely about the scheduling. It is about everything the calendar hands back to you the moment a slot is confirmed. Here is where the two part company.

Common questions

Is Aasure an Acuity alternative?

For solo and small-team service businesses, yes. Both are appointment scheduling software. Aasure adds email campaigns, plus win-back and follow-up emails you can switch on. Acuity's Standard and Premium plans have a waitlist and text reminders, and Aasure sends no texts. If your needs are purely scheduling, Acuity may still configure complex booking rules more finely. That is a genuine advantage of Acuity.

Is Squarespace Scheduling the same thing as Acuity?

Yes. Squarespace acquired Acuity Scheduling in 2019 and rebranded it Squarespace Scheduling for a period. The two have since been consolidated back under the Acuity name. If you use one online scheduling tool, you use the other. Any Acuity alternative is a Squarespace Scheduling alternative too.

Do I have to leave Squarespace to use Aasure?

No. Aasure gives you a branded booking page you can link to from any website, including a Squarespace one. Your online booking software does not have to live where your site does. Whether you eventually retire the separate site is a decision for later, not a condition of switching.

How much does Acuity Scheduling cost?

Acuity has three plans. Billed monthly, Starter, Standard and Premium cost $20, $34 and $69 a month. Billed annually, they cost $16, $27 and $55 a month, before tax. There is a 7-day free trial. Those were US prices in October 2026.

Can Acuity take payments?

Yes. Every Acuity plan can take payments through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo. Aasure doesn't take card payments yet. So if you need payment at booking today, that counts in Acuity's favour.
